Is a mobile groomer more expensive?

Mobile grooming takes longer and requires more planning and work output from groomers and this is reflected in the price. For you as an owner, a mobile groomer is more convenient than taking your dog to a groomer so this is what you pay for with the inflated price. For that extra money, you get the convenience of not making 2 trips to your local grooming shop and having to wait approximately 4 hours in between drop-off and pick-up time. Your pet will also benefit from a less stressful environment with no barking dogs, no cages, and no wait time, with only us grooming your pet each and every time.

How often should I get my dog groomed?

Most owners will take their dog to get groomed every 4 – 8 weeks. This time frame is when the coat is starting to need attention again but any longer will result in a larger grooming bill if your dog hygiene gets out of hand.

You should be brushing your dogs every few days at home and bathing every month or so between professional groomings.

What’s included in the mobile grooming service?

I can do everything that a salon-based groomer can do. The full grooming packages will include brushing, dematting, ear cleaning, nail trim, bathing, deshedding, drying, and a cut/trim/sanitation trim.

I use premium shampoos and conditioner on every dog along with a blueberry facial. A blueberry facial is a special dog shampoo derived from — you guessed it — blueberries. This can help decrease the appearance of tear stains in dogs while brightening their coats. It's a hypoallergenic, tearless, and lick-safe option that naturally exfoliates as it cleans and hydrates which makes it ideal for using on your dog’s face. However, if you prefer that I use your personal pet shampoo, just provide me with it and I will gladly use it.

Can you do anything to lessen my dog’s shedding?

Yes, even though I can’t stop the shedding completely, I can lessen it by brushing out the loose hair, bathe the dog with deshedding shampoo, blow out the coat with a high velocity dryer and finish with another brush out.

Do I have to be home for you to groom my pet?

For the first or second time, yes. When both your pet and I feel comfortable with each other, we can make arrangements for grooming to be done without your presence.
